I have just returned from Dr. Rosenberg's office after my one week post-op check and they are as happy as I am with the results. I have been bouncing between 20-20 and 20-25 (depending on the eye and the blink I guess). Still, an amazing improvement from my previous 20-450. I don't think the reality has quite set in yet that my vision is really this good, but I'm sure it will soon. Sue gave me great directions, arranged for a hotel room, went out of her way to see that I had transportation to and from the hotel, and completed countless other little but important details for me. What a charm to work with! Carol also went out of her way, shuttling me to and from the Marriot. I could have taken a cab, but once again, a definite touch of class and "above and beyond the call of duty." How nice and very thoughtful! I did not get a chance to introduce myself to her since my eyes were "locked in" at that point, but I'm sure she is correct on that one. When I see many of our members (which average age is somewhere around 70) that have recently undergone hip replacement or bypass surgery, i often reply, "What did we do 100 years ago before all of this great science?" It is truly remarkable and great living in this day and age when we can enjoy such great health...and nearly perfect vision without glasses or contact lenses. Have a great day!
