Unlike a “laser center,” we not only offer laser vision correction, but also non-laser procedures such as Conductive Keratoplasty Radio Frequency (refractec.com) and INTACS intracorneal ring segments (getintacs.com). Together we’ll choose the ideal procedure for your vision needs. We offer all of the latest technology, under our roof, to provide a custom plan for your needs. You will meet your surgeon on the consultation Day We invest a great deal of time, without charge, in planning your candidacy, directly with your surgeon, not a representative. In other centers, you may not meet the surgeon until you are on the laser table! It’s your sight that’s the priority, not cost-cutting, and we will offer a procedure only if the surgeon and the patient have agreed on the procedure and how it will meet your personal expectations. We perform the most advanced, 3-dimensional, complimentary Computer Diagnostics, to be sure of your safety. Demand an Orbscan at any other center! We perform “Orbscan” diagnostics (3-dimentional computerized corneal imaging), which is not available in all centers. This technology is the only opportunity to image your lens 3-dimensionally and detect any risks for the rare complications of laser vision correction. An expensive technology, but part of your free consultation. When considering wavefront guided laser vision correction- We can show you it’s value before surgery! Our Bausch & Lomb “Zywave” aberrometer can predict, before surgery, the value and benefit of a “Wavefront-guided laser vision procedure.” It will predict when significant halos and glare could result after your laser vision correction, and suggest when the additional investment is of VALUE to you! An expensive technology, this is again provided free of charge, at the consultation. There are no “up-charges” for astigmatism, far-sightedness, or presbyopia. Indeed, all of your care, including any future refinements, is covered under your initial fee for the first year. Thereafter, once you are our established patient, all further treatments throughout life are considered “upgrades”, and cost no more than several hundred dollars, regardless of which procedure you choose! These secondary procedures are performed “on request.” Yet the value of your initial investment is protected since you will never be recharged your initial fee again, for any future vision enhancement. No blades are used in this surgery The IntraLase Laser replaces the blade, so two lasers are used. Each laser carries a “turn-on” charge per use. We believe safety is priceless, and our one fee covers all charges. Our sophisticated lasers require calibration before EACH Procedure. Whereas older lasers may not require calibration more than once a week, this calibration step requires technology and materials that, again, are an expense, but provide an added level of precision and safety. Not all LASIK are created equal! Don’t be tempted to think of purchasing lasik, as similar to buying a car, where it makes sense to shop price for the same vehicle at several locations to be a wise consumer. Shopping for a lasik center is more like finding the right restaurant where you have to consider that all meals are not created equally. The quality of the ingredients, the service, the experience of the chef, are all key to meeting your desires appropriately!
